They can't stop Burnley and Oldham from scoring

We are the two teams with 100% records and in nine games between us have scored no fewer than forty goals. We lead the table and Oldham, with their latest win, have moved into second place three points behind us with a game in hand.

They were able to move up with Wigan and Wrexham playing out a 0-0 draw that saw these two teams slip into the next two places in the table.

It was certainly another weekend of goals, with no fewer than 33 scored in the nine games, although fourteen of those came from ours and Oldham's wins. But Port Vale and Bury both scored three as they won away from home.

Vale won at Macclesfield whilst Bury netted their victory at Preston, a result that leaves North End floundering near the bottom of the league with just four points from four games.

Blackpool, 2-1 winners over Morecambe, are our next opponents and again we are at Gawthorpe this coming Saturday. It's a real opportunity to go and watch our under-18 team before moving on to the Turf for the Preston game in the afternoon.
