Ten out of ten for youth team

Wes Fletcher - four goals
The last time we played away from home we had to come from 2-0 down at Bury, and incredibly we found ourselves 2-0 down in this game too. The first goal came in the very first minute when goalkeeper Stef Ritchie and right back Dan Brown collided. It eventually forced both to be substituted.

Morecambe got a second from a breakaway but thankfully leading scorer Wes Fletcher pulled one back before half time to give the Clarets what looked a fighting chance of retaining their 100% start to the season.

In dreadful conditions we netted no fewer than five times in the second half. Wes got another three whilst there were also goals for Dominic Knowles and both central defenders Chris Lynch and Nik Kudiersky.

That's 27 points from nine league games to add to the cup win over Rotherham and we are next in action this coming Saturday against Preston at Gawthorpe.
