We have played league games against Blackpool and Shrewsbury at Padiham and Wigan at Nelson whilst the Youth Alliance Cup tie against Tranmere was played at Rolls Royce, Barnoldswick.

The home game against Morecambe was scheduled for 16th August but with no venue available we switched the fixtures and played the away game against them at Slyne-with-Hest, coming from a goal behind and down to ten players to win 2-1 with late goals from Christian Hill and Ntumba Massanka.

It was two out of two after that game but we haven't won since and Morecambe are now rooted to the bottom of the league without a solitary point and 23 goals conceded in eight games.

They didn't fare too well against us last season. In the two games against them we scored eleven goals with a 6-1 home win in October and a 5-2 victory away in March.

Lewis Nuttall scored twice in the home game with the other goals coming from Luke Daly, Brad Jackson, Massanka and Khius Metz. There was another double for Nuttall in the return fixture with Callum Richardson, Metz and Kevin Ly also on the scoresheet.

With only two league games being played tomorrow, a draw would lift us two places in the table whilst a win would guarantee at least one more higher position. A three goal win would see us up in seventh place.

Kick off at Gawthorpe is 11 a.m.
