It was a third consecutive win to give the lads a good end to the season and this one came with a late goal after a close game at Wrexham's training ground at Colliers Park.

We were the better side throughout the game but it was a late header from Lowe that won it. Wrexham had defended well but substitute Christian Hill got the better of the Wrexham right back and crossed for Lowe to head home from eight yards out.

It was almost two immediately afterwards but Jamie Frost's shot came back off the bar, but it was Burnley who celebrated the win as Wrexham, who clinched the title without playing on Wednesday, were presented with the trophy.

It was win number 13 for the Clarets out of 22 games this season and that is some achievement given the age of the team during the season.

The team for the final game was: Conor Mitchell, Cameron Dummigan, Charlie Holt, Alex Whitmore, Waqas Azam, Brad Jackson (Christian Hill 55), Luke Daly, Nathan Lowe, Kevin Ly, Lewis Nuttall, Jamie Frost. Subs not used: Callum Jakovlevs, Andreas Bianga, Ntumba Massanka.
