Rochdale closing in on leaders

Last Updated : 30-Oct-2012 by

Burnley have been quietly moving up the table in recent weeks and a second successive victory against the league leaders, a week earlier it was Carlisle, has now seen us move into sixth place and with games in hand on all but one of the teams above us.

There were only three games played last Saturday and Rochdale's 2-0 win against Macclesfield was significant, taking them into second place, ahead of Carlisle, and now within a point of Preston with a game in hand.

The only other game saw Bury remain one point above us with a win at Fleetwood and this week there is no league action with the Youth Alliance Cup getting underway in which we've been drawn at home to Walsall.

Last week's results, this week's cup fixtures, Burnley's goalscorers and the current league table are all shown below.
