Only full backs Richard Eckersley and Brian Easton, the latter was on the bench last night in the win over Bolton, have started first team games t Burnley while Alex MacDonald, Michael King and Wes Fletcher have all made substitute appearances.

Easton is the only player who was in last night's squad who will play in a side that is made up of one apprentice in goalkeeper Ben Woodhead and ten young professionals.

New full time coach Craig Mawson is on the bench as the sub goalkeeper. Mawson recently gave up his playing career at Hyde to become a full time coach at Burnley and apart from working with the club's young goalkeepers will also be involved alongside Billy Mercer with the senior keepers.

The Burnley team tonight is Ben Woodhead, Richard Eckersley, Kevin Long, Chris Lynch, Brian Easton, Alex MacDonald, Chris Anderson, Alex-Ray Harvey, Michael King, Dominic Knowles, Wes Fletcher. Subs: Craig Mawson, Ed Williams, Dave Lynch, Joe McKee, Ross Wilson, Tommy Taylor, Joe Jackson.

Tranmere haven't named their team yet but are expected to include Zoumana Bakayogo, Ryan Fraughan, Jack Mackreth and Tim Cathalina.

Admission for Burnley supporters at Cammell Laird tonight is £3 (adults) and £1 (concessions). Clarets Mad will provide goal updates via the message board.
