Port Vale are visitors to Gawthorpe

The young Clarets will go into the game buoyed by the win at Preston last Tuesday whereas Vale go into the game having suffered two home defeats last week, going down 3-1 against Macclesfield nine days ago and following that up with a 2-1 home defeat against Fleetwood last Saturday.

At the start of the week they were two places ahead of us in the table in sixth place having won 31 points from 21 games with a points per game of 1.53. Burnley, after Tuesday's win now have 29 points from 20 games, that's at 1.4 points per game.
