Point for youth team

James Craggs - scored direct from a corner
It was a game that saw both teams lead and one that saw the first goals at this level for Centre of Excellence youngster Oliver Devenney who twice netted with shots from outside the box.

It was Carlisle who took the lead during the first half but our equaliser was immediate when Devenney hit a tremendous shot from over twenty yards out that gave the home keeper no chance.

It was all square at the interval and it was the Clarets who then went in front with the sort of goal you don't see too often. It came from a corner taken by James Craggs and the left winger scored directly with it as it sailed into the far top corner.

Carlisle however turned things round and scored twice to regain the lead at 3-2 and that's how it looked as though it was going to end until stoppage time at the end of the game. Again it was Devenney and this time from further out as his right footed shot flew into the net.

Three games left now for the youth team, and the first of those is at Gawthorpe this Wednesday afternoon, kick off 2:00 p.m.
