Oldham gain some revenge over the Clarets

Tom Blackler - ruled out for the season
The Clarets went down to a 4-1 defeat against the Latics, but it's not too easy for the lads just now with something of a depleted side. Some of the players are no longer available, such as Mark Crossley and Marc Pugh are playing for other clubs and injuries have also hit with one player, Tom Blackler, ruled out for the season with a broken leg.

Meanwhile league leaders Oldham are now nineteen points clear of second place Preston and only a massive collapse will prevent them from lifting the Youth Alliance League trophy. Preston are now the only side that can mathematically catch them.

Preston's game was one of three called off on Saturday because of waterlogged pitches, along with Wigan they have played fewer games than anyone else and it is looking as though a number of clubs will now be struggling to complete the fixtures.

We are next in action this coming Saturday when we entertain Bury at Gawthorpe, prior to that the reserves will be in action twice – tonight at Shrewsbury and on Wednesday when we take on Preston at Bamber Bridge.
