Nugent back for Wrexham clash

Last Saturday's win has taken us up to sixth in the table with 21 points from our 11 games whilst Wrexham, beaten at home last week by Rochdale, are 10th with seven fewer points.

We played them just once last season and that was an away fixture at their Colliers Park training ground. On that occasion we won 3-1 with goals from Luke Daly, Brad Jackson and Alex Whitmore.

The recent change in form has come about with the team conceding fewer goals. We've had the capacity to score goals all season but in the four league games prior to this run of wins we'd conceded three goals in three of them.

Without wishing to tempt fate, I have been impressed with goalkeeper Tony Aghayere and coach Andy Farrell has spoken highly of him today, rating him the best he's seen at youth level since he became assistant to Terry Pashley.

The back four, often changed about too, has looked solid in front of the goalkeeper and that's been a recipe for success for the free scoring team.

Tomorrow sees Pash and Farrell switch things round again. Captain Waqas Azam, who scored a stunning 35-yard goal at Accrington last week, sits this one out as does Khius Metz who has scored in three of the four wins.

The team tomorrow is: Tony Aghayere, Hamam El-Fitouri, Vashiko Dixon, Shaun Hobson, Andy Nugent, Brad Jackson, Andreas Bianga, Brandon Wilson, Christian Hill, Ntumba Massanka, Josh Dolling. Subs: Connor King, Waqas Azam, Jamal Crawford, Khius Metz.
