No change at top of the Alliance

Oldham didn't play last week but Blackpool took advantage with a comfortable win at Wrexham. It's taken them five points clear of Oldham who have played one game less. With the league now decided on points per game it means Blackpool, with 2.45, lead Oldham who have a points per game of 2.32.

Walsall still sit in third place despite trailing Rochdale by five points. Rochdale have been getting the games in recently and have now played 21, that's more than any other club other than Wigan who have been in front on games played all season.

Those four will finish in the top four places unless something dramatic happened. Rochdale still have two points per game while Bury in fifth place are on 1.68, some distance behind.

Down at the bottom there are three teams with less t than a point per game and I can't see much chance of Morecambe getting away from bottom place. They've now conceded 58 goals in their 18 games and their eight points means they have collected just 0.44 points per game this season.

We remain in 8th place with a points per game of 1.37. We are 0.16 behind Tranmere who are one place above us and we're also 0.15 points ahead of Accrington who are directly below us. It's going to take some doing to either go up or down now in what has been a disappointing season for us results wise.

All last week's results are shown below as are this week's fixtures, our goalscorers and the current table.

We've two games this week. We travel to Preston tomorrow and face Port Vale at home this Saturday.
