The home club, who play in the North West Counties Football League, have boosted their squad today with the signing of defender Jamie Hastings, previously of Morecambe, Fleetwood, Kendal and Bamber Bridge.
He's expected to feature tonight and there could be one further addition with Nelson close to completing a loan deal for another defender.
One player who might not be involved tonight is former Claret Matt O'Neill. He and brothers Joe and Ed are all with Nelson for the new season. Both brothers are ruled out with injuries and Matt has also been out injured but could return to play some part.
For Burnley tonight it is a team made up mainly of scholars. Four of them, Waqas Azam, Andreas Bianga, Christian Hill and Brandon Wilson, are all second year scholars but the six other outfield players are all from the new first year recruits with Danijel Nizic playing in goal.
