Joe McKee - two more goals
There were just ten minutes gone when Yadolahi was forced off with a gash on the head and he was immediately taken to hospital with Alex Coleman coming on as the early substitute. However, it didn't stop our youngsters and seven minutes later we were in front with McKee again the scorer.

Morecambe were soon level but just before the half hour we scored two in a minute. McKee it was again who was the first onto the ball after a Joe Jackson effort had been saved by the goalkeeper and then Tommy Taylor got the third, coming in at the far post to convert a Ross Wilson cross.

It looked as though it would stay at 3-1 but a mistake three minutes from time allowed Morecambe to get their second but the young Clarets hung on comfortably for the 3-2 win.

The team was: Josh Cook, Curtis Woods, Neil Yadolahi (Alex Coleman 10), Steve Edwards, Ed Williams, Ross Wilson, Joe McKee, Dave Lynch, Archie Love (Alex Mullin 75), Tommy Taylor (Steven Hewitt 67), Joe Jackson.
