Liam Newman - scored the late equaliser
Having lost to Blackpool earlier in the season at Gawthorpe, the young Clarets were looking to get some revenge with a win at Squires Gate.

Joe Jackson got onto a pass from Michael King midway through the first half to give us the lead and that was the first of five first half goals. Blackpool equalised but Joe McKee scored again from a free kick to restore the lead.

Unfortunately in the last three minutes of the half the home side turned things round with two goals to go into the break with a 3-2 lead.

We were in charge throughout the second half and did everything but score. That was until nine minutes from the end when Liam Newman, on as a substitute for James Taylor, headed home following a cross.

The Burnley team was: Danny McDonald, Ed Williams (Tom Anderson 21), Curtis Woods, Stephen Edwards, Jake McEneaney, Ross Wilson (Dom Knowles 69), Joe McKee, Dave Lynch, James Taylor (Liam Newman 69), Michael King, Joe Jackson. Subs not used: Tom Taylor, Hewliss.
