Dominic Knowles - in tonight's line up
It is a return fixture against Tranmere and we'll certainly be looking to get a win against a side that managed a draw against us on a night when the referee proved to be their most potent weapon. He gave two laughable penalties and worse still sent off Kevin Long on the first one.

Since then, a home draw against Bury last time out is the only other occasion we've dropped points and we sit eight points clear of second place Preston at the top of the league.

Tonight, Ash Hoskin has a mixture of development and youth squad players to select from and we line up: Craig Mawson, Curtis Woods, Nik Kudiersky, Chris Lynch, Ed Williams, Ross Wilson, Chris Anderson, Alex-Ray Harvey, Tommy Taylor, Dominic Knowles, Alex MacDonald. Subs: Josh Cook, Dean Overson, Neil Yadolahi, Steve Edwards, Dave Lynch, Joe McKee, Joe Jackson.

Tranmere are expected to field two players who have worn the claret and blue of Burnley. One of them Marlon Broomes was with the Clarets during pre-season in 2002. He's on his way back from injury as is Alan Mahon who hasn't been able to start a first team game since November of last year.
