The date has now been confirmed for this game with Burnley travelling to the Kingsmeadow Stadium on Thursday 11th December for a 7 p.m. kick off.
This will be the second time the two clubs have met in this competition. Eleven years ago we played them at Plough Lane, although by then their first team were playing at Selhurst Park. On that occasion, also in the 3rd round, the Clarets came out on top with a 4-3 win before going out to Arsenal in the next round.
This will be the first time AFC Wimbledon have reached this stage of the competition since the rebirth of the club.
