Irish duo in youth team

Shay McCartan - back in the team

The game should have been at Gawthorpe but, as we confirmed earlier in the week, has been switched to Bury's home gain and will be played at Stainton Park, home of Radcliffe Borough.

McCartan is the team's leading goalscorer. He'd netted five goals in the first three games before missing out at Preston. Conlan, meanwhile, will play his first competitive game for the club after international clearance finally came through just over a week ago. He'd previously played in friendly games for both the youth team and the development squad.

They both line up in a side which includes three of the four first year scholars with Jack Errington and Jason Gilchrist joining Conlan, but New Zealander Cameron Howieson is still sat waiting for his international clearance.

The rest of the team is made up of second years whilst second year Tom Anderson is this week on the bench alongside three centre of excellence players from the under-16s.

The team is: Josh Cook, Aryn Williams, Alex Coleman, Jack Errington, Luke Conlan, Alex Mullin, Steven Hewitt, Archie Love, Adam Evans, Jason Gilchrist, Shay McCartan. Subs: Callum Jakovlevs, Tom Anderson, Lewis Nuttall, Will Kinder.
