Again the
We didn't have to wait too long at all for the first goal of the game, it came in the very first minute as Jay Rodriguez finished well, and this inspired a bright opening to the game for the Clarets when we could so easily have increased the lead.
The visitors started to get back into the game but their equaliser was something of a surprise and a poor goal for us to give away. Duane Courtney was trying to shepherd the ball back to keeper Mark Crossley on a difficult surface. Maybe Row Z should have been the answer (or the car park at Accy) but he lost control and Adam Dickinson nipped in to finish for Tranmere.
Tranmere were the better side for the remainder of the first half but there were no further goals and the two sides went in level at 1-1.
The second half didn't get a goal quite as early as the first half but it wasn't much longer, there were just about two minutes on the clock when Rob Turner took advantage following a Wade Elliott cross to head home and we were back in the lead.
This lead didn't last too long and Tranmere were soon level again with a good finish by Luke Holden and with 25 minutes to go the same player scored again from a free kick to put this side in front for the first time.
The Clarets came storming back and got the equaliser with just ten minutes to go, an excellent finish from Adam Kay but we were unable to grab a winner despite putting Tranmere under some late pressure.
There's just three games left for the reserves starting next Monday at Carlisle, whilst the next home game is on Wednesday of next week when we play
