Jamie Frost scored in both games last season |
It's Accrington who come into the game on the back of good results. They are unbeaten in their last five league and cup games and have won the last three against Carlisle and Morecambe in the league and then in the FA Youth Cup this week at Ilkeston which has given them a home game against West Ham in round three.
Burnley will be looking to recover from a difficult week last week. We were beaten a week last Tuesday against Oldham in the Lancashire Youth Cup and then last Saturday surrendered a 1-0 half time lead to Bury, eventually losing the game 3-1.
We'll also be looking to avenge the defeat at Accrington six weeks ago and will be looking to get the sort of result we achieved against our most local rivals last season when we won 5-1 at Accrington and then beat them 5-2 at Gawthorpe.
In the home game last March both Nathan Lowe and Jamie Frost scored twice with Khius Metz also on the scoresheet. Frost had also scored in the away game as did Luke Gallagher with Jason Gilchrist getting a hat trick.
Coach Terry Pashley, who was somewhat subdued last week during the Bury game, will select his team from: Callum Jakovlevs, Charlie Holt, Waqas Azam, Shaun Hobson, Callum Richardson, Nathan Lowe, Brandon Wilson, Christian Hill, Lewis Nuttall, Jamie Frost, Ntumba Massanka, Conor Mitchell, Alex Whitmore, Kevin Ly, Andreas Bianga, Luke Daly, Brad Jackson, Evan Galvin.
Kick off tomorrow at Gawthorpe is 11 a.m.
