Gilchrist hat trick in big youth win

Three goals for Jason Gilchrist

It was Howieson, playing his first competitive game for the Clarets this season, who gave us the lead after 18 minutes with a shot from the edge of the box, and just before half time he was involved again when he crossed for Gilchrist to head in our second.

Gilchrist added his second with a low shot early in the second half and Holt then got his first of the season with 17 minutes remaining, getting onto the ball after a shot from Gilchrist was saved.

Gilchris wasn't to be denied his hat trick and a drive across the goalkeeper  and into the bottom corner from the edge of the box got it for him and completed the scoring for the Clarets.

We lined up: Callum Jakovlevs, Charlie Holt, Christian Hill, Luke Gallagher, Alex Whitmore, Luke Conlan, Brad Jackson (Andreas Bianga 59), Nathan Lowe, Jason Gilchrist, Cameron Howieson (Crawford 79), Ntumba Massanka (Jamie Frost 55). Subs not used: Danny Eccles, Andrew Nugent.
