Fletcher goals earn a point

It's almost reached the embarrassing level now but we have been unable to stage this game and instead our League Two opponents Morecambe gained home advantage.

Fletcher twice gave Burnley the lead during the first half with Aaron Taylor equalising the first one for a strong Morecambe side that included Rene Howe, Andy Parrish, Henry McStay and Fraser McLachlan.

We couldn't add to the goals in the second half but were still in front as the game went into stoppage time with Taylor also getting his second to earn Morecambe a point in a 2-2 draw.

The Burnley side was an inexperienced on. Jon Lund again played in goal in a team that featured young professionals Adam Kay and Alex MacDonald. Other than that the side was made up of apprentices.
