Five out of five for youth team

Tommy Taylor scored the second goal
Back in August we'd lost our home league game against them, and that was just one win in a superb start to the season for the Seasiders who, until last weekend, had a 100% record.

But Burnley are a side bang in form after a slightly disappointing start to the season and we exacted revenge at Gawthorpe this morning and in some style.

The first goal came just past the half hour through Joe Jackson and by half time that lead had been doubled with Tommy Taylor on the scoresheet.

Joe McKee just can't stop scoring right now and it was he who added the third with a quarter of the game still remaining. We might have scored more but the last goal of the game went Blackpool's way with five minutes to go.

That takes us into the last eight of the Youth Alliance Cup Northern Section, but it will be back to league action next week when we travel to Oldham.

The team this morning was: Josh Cook, Ed Williams, Alex Coleman, Steve Edwards, Curtis Woods, Mehdi Lazaar, Joe McKee, Steven Hewitt, Dave Lynch, Tommy Taylor, Joe Jackson. Subs: Alex Mullin, Ross Wilson, Archie Love, Shay McCartan.
