Five changes for youth cup tie

Shay McCartan - back in the side
Goalkeeper Josh Cook was back from injury last week and on the bench but he starts this week with Ben Woodhead on the subs bench. In front of him there is one change to the back four from last week with Alex Coleman replacing Neil Yadolahi.

Archie Love plays in midfield instead of Steven Hewitt and the two wide positions are taken by Shay McCartan and Ross Wilson where last week we had Tommy Taylor and Adam Evans in the side.

Yadolahi, Hewitt and Taylor, like Woodhead are on the bench.

Last season we went out of the Alliance Cup in the first round. Having drawn 0-0 with Wigan we were beaten 3-1 on penalties, and that meant we'd gone out of the competition on penalties in three successive seasons.

In 2008/09 we lost a shoot out 9-8 against Shrewsbury in the second round after a 2-2 draw in which Oliver Devenney and Chris Anderson scored. A year earlier another 2-2 draw against Hartlepool, with Anderson again and James Craggs getting the goals, ended with a 3-1 shoot out defeat, this in the fourth round.

The Burnley team today is: Josh Cook, Ed Williams, Alex Coleman, Tom Anderson, Curtis Woods, Shay McCartan, Joe McKee, Dave Lynch, Archie Love, Ross Wilson, Joe Jackson. Subs: Ben Woodhead, Neil Yadolahi, Alex Mullin, Steven Hewitt, Tommy Taylor.
