Clarets youth team go nap

Two goals for Lewis Nuttall

It looked as though it was going to be a tight game. The score was 1-1 at half time with Lewis Nuttall having scored our goal and it was 2-2 after an hour with central defender Callum Richardson having got onto the scoresheet.

But the young Clarets took command after that; Nuttall got his second and there were further goals from new Republic of Ireland under-17 international Khius Metz and Kevin Ly to complete the scoring before the end.

That result gives Burnley a total of 26 points now from 18 games, a return of 1.44 points per game. It is likely to keep us in eighth place in table when all other results come in.

We are next in action this coming Tuesday when the twice postponed game against Carlisle will be played at Gawthorpe with a 1 p.m. kick off.
