Clarets up four places in Alliance

Last updated : 08 September 2015 By Tony Scholes
Josh Dolling scored our second goal in Saturday's 2-0 win

Rochdale were without a win but have beaten Carlisle this afternoon to life themselves away from the bottom but, even with that result, we are clear of the bottom with Vale on just two points whilst we are also above all of Accrington, Bury and Morecambe on goal difference.

Tranmere might have lost their Football League place last season but at youth level they are continuing to get results and their 1-0 win against Carlisle on Saturday was their fourth in four games which means they are still top with a two point lead over Fleetwood who have themselves won three and drawn one of their games so far.

Just behind Fleetwood come Wigan and Shrewsbury  with Walsall and Wrexham, who already have games in hand, just behind.

We'll be hoping to get a lift further up the table this week when Morecambe are our visitors. Again the game will be played at Burnley Belvedere with a 10:30 a.m. kick off although there it is thought that this could be our last game there with a potential return to Gawthorpe for the home game against Carlisle two weeks later.

All the weekend and today's results are below along with this week's fixtures which starts with the Preston v Blackpool game tomorrow. Our goalscorers and the league table can be found after the fixtures.
