Reserve team coach Steve Davis - his side still top of the league
Morecambe went into their game last night at Christie Park two points behind the Clarets. They trailed 1-0, but then led 2-1 before Dale Warburton netted an equaliser for the Seasiders, and that ensured Morecambe didn't climb above is.

Although we remain a point clear of the league newcomers, we are now only top on goal difference after both Chester and Preston won their games. It is three wins in a row now for Chester, and their latest came as they beat Rochdale at Rossendale United's Dark Lane, their goals coming from Chris Holroyd and Kevin Roberts.

Preston came out on top against Bury. Neil Mellor scored twice as they coasted to an easy win against the League Two club. In the only other game Tranmere and Accrington picked up a point each in a 0-0 draw played at Prenton Park.

Burnley are next in action next Wednesday and Tranmere who are two points behind us having won two, drawn one and lost one of their four games so far this season.
