Clarets lead cut
Last Updated : 14-Nov-2005 byThis means Preston, who have played a game more than us, are now just two points behind us, and behind them come Oldham who also had a good win on Saturday, winning 3-0 at home to Stockport.
It was a good day for those in the top group who did play and Tranmere matched Oldham’s result, their victory coming away to Carlisle.
It does mean the top of the table does look a lot closer and remember, we were robbed of a title last year simply because we were unable to play enough of our home fixtures.
Saturday’s results were:
Burnley v Wigan – Postponed
Carlisle 0 Tranmere 3
Chester 2 Macclesfield 2
Oldham 3 Stockport 0
Port Vale 1 Preston 6
Walsall 1 Bury 0
Wrexham 1 Blackpool 2
Carlisle 0 Tranmere 3
Chester 2 Macclesfield 2
Oldham 3 Stockport 0
Port Vale 1 Preston 6
Walsall 1 Bury 0
Wrexham 1 Blackpool 2
