Jon Stewart - set for competitive debut

Whilst Burnley go with a young side, there is plenty of experience in the Preston line up including their club captain Ian Ashbee, who is returning from injury, and long term Burnley target from the Owen Coyle era, Darel Russell.

Preston also include Adam Barton who scored their first goal in our 4-3 win against them almost a year ago and Danny Mayor who notched a hat trick to clinch the title for their reserves when they won at Turf Moor late last season.

Preston's squad tonight is: Andreas Arestidou, Dominic Comrie, Reece James, Conor McLaughlin, Seanan Clucas, Craig Morgan, Bailey Wright, Adam Barton, Ian Ashbee, Darel Russell, George Miller, Danny Mayor, Jamie Douglas, Juvhel Tsoumou, Michael McLellan.

Burnley have named a squad of 16 which includes eight members of the youth squad, six of the club's young professionals, including goalkeeper Jon Stewart who will make his competitive bow, and two unnamed trialists.

Alex MacDonald, used as a substitute in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Cardiff, is the most experienced player of those named.

Burnley's squad is: Jon Stewart, Josh Cook, Alex Coleman, Tom Anderson, Aryn Williams, Steven Hewitt, Dave Lynch, Dominic Knowles, Mehdi Lazaar, Ross Wilson, Archie Love, Adam Evans, Alex MacDonald, Shay McCartan and two trialists.

Kick off tonight is 7:00 p.m, and admission is free to season ticket holders, otherwise £4 for adults and £2 concessions.
