It's a lunchtime kick off for the youth team at Barnsley. Disappointingly most of their pre-season games have been shrouded in mystery this year. It's been much the same for the development squad and it is thanks to Hyde Football Club that I became aware of the game tonight.

The Burnley team will be a mix of first team squad and development squad players coupled with a further appearance for the two trialists who were on view at Padiham last Saturday.

Those trialists are Stockport defender Kyle Brownhill, who played at left back at the Arbories. He's been with us for most of pre-season and he said two days ago that he hoped something would be sorted out soon.

The new name on Saturday was that of Andrew Musungu. The 19-year-old has just been released after two years at Stoke, having previously been with Chelsea. He impressed on the right wing at Padiham and has been given another opportunity to try and win a deal at Burnley.

They will play in a team that includes recent goalkeeper signing Alex Cisak, who will be getting his first start since joining the Clarets, along with Luke O'Neill, Alex Coleman, Steven Hewitt, Ryan Noble and Joseph Mills, all of whom have featured in first team games during the pre-season.

Tom Anderson, Archie Love make up the starting eleven along with 16-year-old Jamie Frost who was hugely impressive in the Padiham win.

The Burnley team tonight at Hyde is: Alex Cisak, Luke O'Neill, Alex Coleman, Tom Anderson, Kyle Brownhill, Andrew Musungu, Steven Hewitt, Archie Love, Joseph Mills, Jamie Frost, Ryan Noble. Subs: Daniel Nizic, Cameron Dummigan, Jack Errington, Christian Hill, Kevin Ly, Jason Gilchrist.

Our opponents Hyde beat local rivals Stalybridge 6-3 on Saturday. It's an annual fixture for the Ray Stanley Memorial Shield. The goals came from Adam Griffin, Trialist (3), David Poole and Tom Collins.

Managed by former Oldham defender Scott McNiven. He's been in charge since 2011 having initially signed for them as a player in 2009. He led them to the Blue Square North title in his first full season in charge and last season they finished in 19th place in the Premier Division during which time they had former Claret Shay McCartan on loan.

Kick off tonight at Ewen Fields is 7:45 p.m.
