Clarets down one place after postponement

Whilst the Saddlers took the opportunity to get level with North End on points it was a case of another opportunity missed for Wigan who now trail the top two by five points whilst remaining in third place.

Walsall got their chance with a home game against Tranmere and won the game 3-2 but there was a surprise defeat for Wigan at home to Wrexham when a win would have taken them within two points.

Bury and Oldham were the only other winners on a day when the weather wiped out four of the nine games, besides ours the games at Macclesfield, Rochdale and Stockport were all postponed. In the other game played Chester and Port Vale grabbed a point each.

We have a full fixture list again this coming week when we'll look to get back into action after two successive home postponements with an away game against Oldham. The latest results and the next fixtures are shown below along with Burnley's goalscorers.
