Clarets dev squad held by Forest

The team was made up of six of the recognised development squad, first team squad members Luke O'Neill and Ryan Noble, youth teamers Christian Hill and Jamie Frost along with a trialist who Clarets Mad understands to be former Blackburn Rovers forward Micah Evans who was released at the end of last season having played first team football on loan at Accrington, Chesterfield and Macclesfield.

Burnley went into a two goal lead in the first half with first Hill and then Tom Anderson on the scoresheet but Forest pulled one back just before half time before going on to score again in the second half to complete the scoring.

The Burnley team was: Nick Liversedge, Luke O'Neill, Alex Coleman, Tom Anderson, Luke Conlan, Micah Evans, Steven Hewitt, Archie Love, Christian Hill, Jamie Frost, Ryan Noble. Subs: Conor Mitchell, Cameron Dummigan, Jack Errington, Kyle Brownhill, Luke Gallagher, Trialist.

The development squad will next be in action next Wednesday with a visit to Derby County before playing Bury at home on Tuesday 17th September.
