I certainly can't recall ever having seen the Clarets play at Rhyl, the holiday resort that was often the destination for our family holidays in the 1950s, but we'll be there on Tuesday 13th August with the game kicking off at 7:45 p.m. at their home ground Belle Vue.
We provide the last friendly opposition in their pre-season schedule of ten games, which also includes games against league clubs Tranmere, Bolton and Manchester City, ahead of their return to the top league in Wales, the Welsh Premier League.
Rhyl, under the management of former Wigan and Bolton defender Greg Strong, won promotion at the end of last season and they kick off the new season with a home game against Aberystwyth Town on 24th August.
This fixture has now been added to the Friendlies/Key Dates page.
