Burnley face Wigan in the Alliance

Terry Pashley's team will be looking to get last week's 1-0 defeat out of the system with a good performance and result against a team that was, last season, playing at a higher level of youth football.

We currently sit in sixth place in the league having won 11 points from our seven games. That leaves us somewhat higher than Wigan who have had a difficult start to the season having won just once. With two draws they have five points in total with just Wrexham and Morecambe, both on one point, below them.

They drew 0-0 at home to second in the table Walsall but their other points have come against the bottom two. They beat Wrexham in August and last Saturday drew 0-0 at Morecambe.

Having not played them last season our last game against Wigan came in April 2012, our only game against them in the 2011/12 season. On that occasion we won 4-1 with goals from Shay McCartan, Steven Hewitt, Jamie Frost and Luke Gallagher.

Kick off tomorrow at Gawthorpe is 11 a.m.
