Despite the inclusion of the Uruguayan, who played the entire match, it was Burnley who won the game 2-0 with goals from Cameron Howieson, back from Saudi Arabia, and Steven Hewitt.
Howieson scored from a free kick on 17 minutes and nine minutes later Hewitt completed the scoring when he netted a Luke O'Neill cross from close range.
