Burnley add Padiham to pre-season programme

Last year it was played on the same day as the first team were in action at Bath. Again this year it will be the development squad in action at the Arbories, and again on a day when the first team are playing. However, there is an opportunity for Burnley supporters to see both games.

The Padiham game will be played on the morning of Saturday 27th July with an 11 o'clock kick off which is four and a half hours before the first team play the final pre-season game against Sparta Rotterdam on the Turf.

That gives supporters who will be travelling into Burnley for the Sparta game the opportunity to take in the early game at Padiham and means some fans will be able see Burnley play at the Arbories for the first time. And with the kick offs so far apart it leaves plenty of time to get from one game to the next.

There will be further news on the game during July and just over two weeks later Padiham will be hosting a game between their veterans and a team of vintage Clarets. It will feature as part of Padiham Sports Week and will be played on Sunday 11th August although the kick off time is still to be confirmed.

The fixture has now been added to the Friendles/Key Dates page.
