In a game that was played at Plaskynaston Lane the home of Welsh League club Newi Cefn Druids the Clarets were 3-0 up by half time.

It was 4-0 just four minutes into the second half but the home side pulled one back to complete the scoring.

The Burnley goal scorers were Joe Booth, Marc Pugh, Cayne Hanley and Chris McCann.

The team was: Mark Crossley, Joel Pilkington, Neal Trotman, Ryan Townsend, Paul Scott, Marc Pugh, Joe Booth (Nicky Platt 70), Chris McCann, Martin Reilly (Tom Ince 75), Cayne Hanley (Kyle Lafferty 65), Alex Taylor.

Cayne's goal comes following his call up to the first team at the weekend whilst Marc Pugh is now joint leading scorer, alongside Amadou Sanokho, with four goals.

The win takes the Clarets into seventh place in the Pontin’s Holiday League Division One West, today’s win taking us above both Chester and Stockport County after our third win of the season.

We’ll be back in action next Wednesday when we take on Oldham Athletic in what will be our fourth game at Accrington Stanley’s Interlink Express Stadium.
