It was played at Bury’s Lower Gigg training ground and there does seem to have been something of a news blackout on this one but we can tell you that our Aussie central defender with the Manchester accent Ryan Townsend was back in the team after suffering a recent hamstring injury.
Rhys Carpenter scored twice and Tom Ince also found the net as we picked up our second win of the season.
Well done to the lads and we can now look forward to this weekend’s match when we entertain Rochdale at Gawthorpe with a 11:00 a.m. kick off.
