Back to Padiham for today's youth game

Despite the Alliance cup defeat against Tranmere eight days ago, we go into this morning's game unbeaten in the league having beaten Blackpool at home and Morecambe away before drawing at Tranmere.

We face a Shrewsbury side who have so far won one, drawn one and lost two of their four games. The points they've won came in their first two games. They beat Fleetwood at home and followed that up with a draw at Wrexham, but since have lost at Walsall and at home to Oldham.

We didn't play them at home last season but lost 3-1 in the away game in April with Jamie Frost scoring our goal, and it was Frost on the mark when we last played them at home in March 2013, a game we lost by that same 3-1 scoreline.

Our last win against them was in March 2012 when a Jason Gilchrist goal gave us a 1-0 win away whilst James Taylor and Joe Jackson scored in our last home success against them, a 2-1 win in March 2011.

The game kicks off at 11 a.m.
