Another win for the reserves

Michael King - clinched the win with the late second goal
Michael King scored the second with just three minutes remaining but this was never a close game and the large contingent of Burnley fans there just couldn't quite believe that the scored had remained at 1-0 for so long.

Playing up the slope in the first half we were much the better side and could so easily have scored on a couple of occasions before Nik Kudiersky scored from close range after good work from Alex MacDonald.

Probably the closest we came to a second was after excellent work from King on the left. He cut in and hit a right footer onto the bar, one of two occasions we hit the woodwork.

If we were the better side in the first half then we totally dominated the second and for a period it looked as though it was Wes Fletcher v goalkeeper Danny Fradd. It was Fradd who came out on top with three superb saves from the Burnley goal scorer.

With just a one goal lead you always worry that the opposition might sneak an equaliser no matter how undeserved. But King's goal ensured that wouldn't happen and the game ended with Chris Lynch rifling a free kick just over the bar.
