Another change at the top of the Alliance

It was another week when the weather intervened with four of the nine scheduled fixtures postponed, starting with Fleetwood's home game against Oldham last Tuesday. However, Blackpool did face Accrington six days ago, the result giving Stanley their second win of the season as they came home with all three points from a 1-0 win.

Blackpool were losers at home again four days later, and by the same score. This time Wigan beat them to go back to the top as Bury were held to a 1-1 draw at Tranmere.

Walsall went back to fifth in the table with victory over Port Vale while Shrewsbury lifted themselves two places up the table with a 6-2 victory at Morecambe. Poor Morecambe have now lost 18 of their 20 games and have a goal difference of minus 50.

Our game against Accrington, officially the away game but to be played at home after we switched the home game earlier in the season, was called off. Our next scheduled league game is this Saturday against Preston, but before that we travel to Nottm Forest tomorrow for the FA Youth Cup.

The big fixture in the league next week is that between the top two as Bury play host to Wigan.
