|Lewis Nuttall scored from the spot at Fleetwood|
A week last Saturday Accrington beat Bury to move above Morecambe to third from bottom but their stay there lasted only a week with Morecambe beating them handsomely three days ago to enable them to restore their place.
With Preston not in action it gave second place Rochdale the opportunity to close the four point gap when they played their game in hand. They did, but only by one point as they were held to a draw by Oldham.
Wrexham did make the most of Preston having no game. They beat Shrewsbury and now sit only five points from the top and they, unlike Rochdale, still have a game in hand.
We were the only side who, with the games in hand, could go above the leaders, but our defeat at Fleetwood, where we played a very young team, leaves us ten points behind and now with just three games in hand.
And with Bury winning at Blackpool in the only other game played, it also meant we dropped a place in the table to 7th.
At this stage of the season Preston look favourites again but any one of the top seven must have feel they have a realistic chance of ending the season as champions.
