Accy do Clarets a massive favour

The game played on Tuesday left City three points behind us with two games to play. If they win both it would take them three points clear leaving us with three games to get the points needed to go above them.

Our goal difference is currently +20 and City's is +13 so it would take some downturn in results to turn that round. That means a win would see us lift the trophy from the three remaining games which are all at home, if you consider Accrington to be at home.

It starts next Monday when we play Blackpool at the Crown Ground and two days later we host Preston. Then, in the following week we play at home to Manchester City in what by then we hope will not be an important game.

In other games this week there were big wins for both Carlisle and Morecambe, with Carlisle's taking them above City into second place although they, along with two other clubs, have now completed their fixtures. Blackpool and Tranmere drew in the only other game played this week.
