Youths start with a defeat

It was a 1-0 win last year but today the only goal of the game, with eleven minutes left on the clock, went to the home side at their impressive Lightfoot Lane ground in Preston.

Two of the new scholars, Gary Garter and Daniel Pitham, played the full 90 minutes and turned in impressive performances as some of the more experienced players sat out the first half.
