Youth team's new league is now confirmed

With finishing outside the top three we have failed to make the top group in the next league and have gone into the next group down, presumably the second division. We are joined there with the two clubs who finished directly below us, Oldham Athletic and Carlisle United and from the North East and Central groups there are Darlington, York City, Bradford City, Grimsby Town, Mansfield Town, Chester City and Shrewsbury Town.

Each team will play the other once, either home or away, so presumably with nine matches it will be four home and five away or vice versa. Having said that the previous league has ended with Burnley playing just five home and ten away games because of two home games being switched and one not played.

There are no details of our fixtures yet but we can confirm that the game against Shrewsbury Town is one of the away games and will be played on 30th March. We will bring you the full fixtures when they are available.
