Turf Moor - venue for the Alliance Final
It all looked set to be the same venue again and as far as neutral grounds were concerned Villa Park was as good a choice as any for a match between Burnley and Swindon, but the Football League have decided that it should be at the home of one of the competing clubs and held a draw with the result that we’ll stage the game.

It will be played at the Turf on Monday 2nd May with a 7:00 p.m. kick off and will be the last match played on the ground this season coming two days after the last first team home game against Plymouth.

The Clarets won through to the final after an amazing comeback at Oldham on Saturday when, after trailing 3-0 and 4-1, we fought back to 4-4 and drawing 5-5 after extra time before winning it 4-1 on penalties.

It was extra time for Swindon as well who eventually won 3-2 against QPR and that paired to the two clubs in this year’s final.

Last year this web site campaigned to get people onto the Lancashire FA Youth Cup Final against Oldham and we were successful with 914 at the Turf to watch the match. I’m sure we can do better than that and get into four figures this time round as the youngsters go for a trophy to end a successful season.
