Gawthorpe struggles to be fit to stage football matches when there has been minimal rainfall and so there was never any hope whatsoever that this game was going to go ahead.
It is the second successive Saturday that a home game has had to be called off and once again it is looking as though we might not be able to fulfil our fixtures. Last season one game wasn't even played and others were switched to away games just to get them played.
There have been no new dates announced for either of these two postponed games.
