Dean West - set for first appearance at Gigg Lane since joining the Clarets in July 1999
The most serious of these is Paul Weller who thankfully had no fracture but has not figured at all in the warm up matches. Brad Maylett did play in the Isle of Man but missed the game against Bolton and he too will be out again tomorrow.

Three more players are ruled out with minor injuries and these are Stretch Armstrong, Arthur and Cooky. The squad will be boosted though by the inclusion of three of our younger professionals and one of the scholars. Earl Davis, Andrew Leeson, Andrew Waine and Matty O’Neill have all been added to the squad and I am looking forward to seeing some, if not all, of them getting onto the pitch at some time during the ninety minutes.

With Marlon Beresford hopeful of being able to take part the Clarets will use the following squad:

Nik Michopoulos, Dean West, Steve Davis, Glen Little, Gareth Taylor, Andy Payton, Tony Grant, Ian Cox, Graham Branch, Ian Moore, Lee Briscoe, Mark McGregor, Robbie Blake, Alan Moore, Dimitri Papadopoulos, Earl Davis, Andrew Waine, Andrew Leeson, Matty O’Neill, Marlon Beresford and Marlon Broomes.

Bury will include their two trialists Pawel Abbott from Preston and Luton’s Liam George but they will be without manager Andy Preece and Chris Billy who are both unavailable with injury.

Bury are expected to start the game with the following line up;

Glynn Garner, Matthew Barrass, Jamie Stewart, Danny Swailes, Lee Unsworth, Steve Redmond, George Clegg, Martyn Forrest, Liam George, Pawel Abbott, Jon Newby.
