Youngsters head for Carlisle

Whilst the first team squad join members of our various supporters groups for the big Turf Moor night of the season – the Player of the Year Awards Evening – it is a team of apprentices and centre of excellence schoolboys who will represent the club in Cumbria.

The most experiences players in the side are second year apprentices Rob Henry, Nicky Platt, Mark Crossley and Cayne Hanley, the latter two having recently been playing for Hyde United on work experience.

The team is: Mark Crossley, Dean Stott, Tom Bradley, Rob Henry, Jack Overson, Paul Casey, Nicky Platt, Connor Smith, Rob Turner, Cayne Hanley, Adam Kay. Subs: Dale Underwood, Ali Akbar, Lewis Craig, Ben Hoskin, Alex Harvey.

Carlisle coach Billy Barr has a mixed side to select from, including himself, manager Paul Simpson and physio Neil Dalton.
