Damien Hindle - release by the Clarets
The goalkeeper in question is Kris Robertson who left St. Mirren recently but turned down an offer from Dumbarton after playing one game for them. He has been touted all over the place in the last few weeks by his agent/dad and it was well publicised over the weekend that he would be joining Burnley on trial.

We believe that happened and he was with us for two days this week and was expected to play in tonight’s reserve team game. That certainly didn’t happen and it now appears that he left after the second day.

Meanwhile it has not been good news for striker Damien Hindle who has been released by the club after failing to win himself a full time professional deal. Damo had a cracking season last time round and scored twenty goals in the reserve and youth teams last season.

He came close to a first team call up in the run in at the end of last season when only the club’s surplus of strikers at the time meant him missing. His season then came to an abrupt end when he suffered a bad facial injury in the final home reserve game after clashing with the visiting keeper.

He’s been back fit again and playing in the reserves but was missing tonight after learning that the club would not be making him an offer. His last appearance for the Clarets was in the reserve game at Tranmere two weeks ago when he scored from the penalty spot.

Clarets Mad would like to wish Damo all the best and hope that he gets himself fixed up with a club very soon.
