Young leaves the Clarets

Ash featured for the youth team during the 2005/06 season on a number of occasions whilst a member of the Centre of Excellence Under-16 team, and he was in the side that lifted the Lancashire FA Youth Cup against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road in that epic extra time win just over a year ago.

He signed apprenticeship forms with the club last summer along with nine other youngsters. Two of them left during last season as they failed to settle into full time football away from home and today the club have confirmed that Ash is also leaving the club after ending the first of those two years.

A midfielder, he also netted two goals last season. The first of them was in a 2-0 home win against Wigan in February and just four weeks later scored our only goal in a 1-1 draw at Stockport.

He will now spend the second year with League Two club Bury and we'd like to send him our best wishes from Clarets Mad.
